The rest of the world has stopped blogging, so I might as well carry on. Why these part-time bloggers even bother is beyond me. If you don't blog everyday give it up, and do us all a favour.
Yesterday. Messed around again. Bumped into a few of the lads at lunchtime. It was turning into a bit of session, but I had to leave to do a bit of shopping. Left pub and found out I had left wallet cash and cards at home, so shopping will have to be done today.
Got home and tidied up house which was good. Even got Mrs. G. to sort out some magazines that have been lying in corner of bedroom, and threw them out for recycling.
Early evening pint with buddy, followed by steak, jersey royals, spinach and peas. Very pleasant. Watched The Invisibles. Ok, and then went to bed.
Up early this morning.
Lots of jobs to do. So hopefully I will make some progress. Mrs. G. is away for a couple of days, so I will have to entertain myself.
My new tenant has not paid her rent. I will not be so soft this time round, and a trip down to London is a possibility. Do you ever get that feeling "Why does everyone want to rip me off", and that other feeling "I have had enough of this".
While I am in grumpy old man mood, what are we going to do about all these young kids stabbing and shooting each other?
I don't know. One of the options is to re-introduce capital punishment. The prisons are full, so if you get caught carrying a knife you get a slap on the wrist. Next day you go out and kill someone. Oh you are only 15, it was not your fault. Have a couple of years in your local borstal. Sky, sky plus, pool, snooker, football, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, and when we let you out, we will give you a few quid to help you get back on your feet
Or perhaps we shall do nothing. Let market forces take care of it. Kids will stop going out as they are too scared of getting killed. What a world we live in. When the kids start shooting the guns at grown-ups, there will be a few sudden changes, and this grumpy old man won't be voting against them.
Sport. Some golf going on. Singh worth a bet in the Welsh Open methinks. 12/1 generally available.
Today. Quick nap. Then up to Reading. Few jobs in Pangbourne, and then maybe a few beers this evening.
The weekend. Much the same. Mrs G. back Sunday afternoon. We shall see what happens.
Next week. Not sure. But maybe do a few jobs for Mrs. G.
Forecast for the weekend looks OK, so a few hours may be spent in the garden of The Cross Keys, and maybe The Sun. Maybe even a bit of relaxing in the garden. Stressful life.
So that is it for now. Be lucky.
Since when does a blog have to have an entry every day? Sorry to differ with you on this, but most blogs have a theme, and some days nothing of note on that theme happens. IS your blog about gambling or not? Sure, one could fill it up with tales of beer drinking and dinner, but what's the point of writing just for the sake of it? My old Mum used to tell me that if I didn't have anything worthwhile to say, then don't say anything.

Well that will keep you quiet for the rest of your life then. :-).

A bit harsh Cassinni wasnt it ? Come on everyone appear a tad grump and its a Friday.
You both have points tho and are both entitled to them.
Karlsson storming up the field looks good in Euro golf and a very good money making machine has started coming to hand on the Nationwide Golf tour. His name is David Mathis and along with Greg Chalmers coupling these two players will win you serious money....take my word.
Have a good weekend Mr G and if you have to bety make sure it is a stonewall cert or dont bother.
Oh im in London if you want me to go and get your rent mate >?

Good comeback John. Sorry if that came across as a bit harsh. It's just that I know what it's like trying to keep a blog going, and it is a little disappointing to write brilliant, challenging posts on aspects of gambling and then get no feedback! Actually, I'm just jealous that John gets so many more hits than I do.

I hope you’re not implying that the Gambler is some kind of Ladyboy lol.

During the time I rented a flat from the Gambler he would often chase me round the apartment while wearing curlers in his hair and a pinny. That’s why I had to find alternative accommodation.
