For various complicated personal reasons, sounds like I will be leaving home tomorrow morning about 20 minutes to eight. I will be in London for a few days, and after that I do not know. Somewhere hot and sunny maybe to sort my brain out.
Whatever. From today I will have limited internet access, so keeping blog going may be difficult.
Its been fun. I shall try and post again if I can, and good luck you all. Life. Complicated sometimes?
Check out http://testpunt.ning.com/
...where I might post occasionally.

Friendly tonight. Not sure if it is live on Tv, but you can watch on the internet. Matchbet have a market on it, so have a look:- http://www.matchbet.com/
Arsenal and Reading fans might also like to know that we have a big charity match in Reading on Sunday lunchtime. Kick off 2.30pm. Gates open from about 10am.
Ex Arsenal v ex Reading raising money for a charity cancer. Lots of top players turning out, and I might even take my boots for a cameo/comedy appearance for 5 minutes in the second half. That should be worth a fiver of anyones money. Hearse/Ambulance waiting outside on "Red Alert". More details just let me know. The venue is RTFC . Scours Lane, Tilehurst, Reading. Quite accessible by public transport, and car parking space normally available. Admission is about 6 quid. Another charity game kicks off earlier, so the bar will be open from about 10am. Not that I am encouraging anyone to drink irresponsibly, but the facility is available. The clubroom is quite a good venue, and available for private hire, so if you ever want to organise a social function, personal or business, contact me or the club directly. Very reasonable rates especially with the right introduction
That will do for now. Comments welcome.

I have something to say, but I do not know if I want to say it.
I am sitting here at four in the morning with a can of beer in my hands. Surely this is not normal. I started this blog as "The Gambler". I am thinking of changing the name to "The Alcoholic".
How can I change this situation?. I don't know, and I don't think I can. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated,
On a more positive note http://testpunt.ning.com/ continues to buzz and progress.

Have not done one of these in a while.
Life has moved on.
Notice the FTSE has gone up to just under 4600. This has got be good news for somebody. In fact it is probably good news for everybody, perhaps none so more than Gordon Brown. Is the economy recovering after the US mortgage led credit crunch?
Elsewhere I had my first bet with matchbet the other day. Anyone who is following the debates on http://testpunt.ning.com/ will see that we are about to enter the second phase of "The Betting Revolution". The "Young Guns" and maybe a few wise "old heads" and the odd "mischief-maker" are about to launch a multi-pronged attack on the Citadel. "Vive La Revolution". We may not win and we will certainly not die trying, but it should be a laugh, and you never can tell what is going to happen by next Thursday.
Other than that meeting at RTFC this morning to discuss "Action Plan". We are confident of a return to Wembley this season. They play in our League, and The League Cup Double is definitely a possibilty. It is too early to talk of Europe, but the chairperson has promised us all a day out to Boulogne if we do the double.
Give http://www.matchbet.com/ a try. It is different but there is some money knocking around on the football markets and if you contact them, they will add markets of your choice.

The level of debate is quite high, both in the blogs, the forums, the comments and best of all the chat room. You need to raise the volume in the chat room so you get a beep" when a comment is added. Last night it was "beep..beep...beeep...beeep" mainly about setting up "alternative betting exchanges" and various variations. Interesting Times.
Check this one out sometime as well. A blast from the past.

And Glorious Goodwood today, and the Third Test starts on Thursday. Football season kicking into gear. Reading Chelsea Friendly Saturday. Not to mention RTFC v Beaconsfield. Spoilt for choice. More later.

Went for a walk this morning.
The forecast for today is good, but at the moment it is cold and cloudy. Hopefully will improve later and then I will cut the grass.
This has been the most awful summer in living memory. I feel like I am living in a frideg. Occasionally it feels like the freezer department. Fortunately wen I went out this morning it was quite warm, and I had a very pleasant start to the day.
The other exchange http://testpunt.ning.com/ has gone a bit quiet after last weeks frenetic activity.
I suppose everybody needs a rest now and then.
Clouds starting to clear. May get lawn mower out.
Thers is cricket and golf and racing on today, but my heart is not in it at the moment.
Sorry if the blog has gone a bit quiet recently.
A few comments may help revitalise it a bit.

Good Afternoon
This morning got up late.
Went for walk and did a bit of shopping.
Came home. Just spent afternoon doing jobs. Very funny weather. One minute sunny. Next minute heavy showers.
Tomorrow meeting up with GW to chat about http://testpunt.ning.com/
The Sports Exchange. If you have not joined yet, why not? It is the happening place. Very Web 3.0.
Meanwhile at Reading Town Football Club Ladies Fixture List has just been published.
First game 16 August away to Newquay. Bit of a stroll.
First home game 23 August home to Yeovil Town. Sounds like quite a pleasant way to spend a Sunday Afternoon in mid August sunshine.
More details to follow.
